RuiMing
So, this lazy bum finally got out of the house today to meet another of my old-time friend.
I've known her since I was in primary 1, so that makes me 7 at that time. And now, it has been 12 years.
To be very honest, even though Joe probably does so much more and JiaYan was part of the same clique as I was in Primary 5 and 6, it is very odd that I end up feeling the most at ease with this friend instead.
We were never particularly the closest even though we spend 4 years in the same class. We were always in different cliques but stayed on friendly terms. I guess it may be because we played the same online game for a period of time, so we actually kept in somewhat contact even when I lost contact with everyone else.
Just to explain the pictures (credits to RuiMing, I took it from her instagram again),
the top left one is the picture we took just today and I was making a funny face in the previous selfie we took before turning to her and going: "Why didn't you make a funny face?!" LOL. So she compelled and we took this one. The top right one is when we met up for the first time in a long while at the start of the year. It was taken at a Neoprint stand, thus the green background.
The bottom row though... oh my childhood days. At least these ones looks a little cute LOL.
The one in the middle is taken from our class picture in primary 6 if I'm not wrong. The 2 others, were Neoprints when we were in Secondary 1 (and we still actually meet up). So, there's RuiMing (in red), Joe (in black, duhh), Chelsia (in white and short hair) and me.
Chelsia was actually my best friend in primary 5 and 6. She is what you would call the ''popular kid''. It's almost like whatever she says is the word. If she likes a song, it would get popular around the class. If she likes a drama, it would get popular around the class, so on and so forth. I used to call her every year just for her birthday but this year I decided to drop it. I guess we had our fun but we no longer connect with each other as much especially since we don't even talk anymore. She went to Bedok South Secondary and I was originally posted to that school. Back then, we still ate together and went home together but then I transferred school and it wasn't much later that we just lost contact. I remember getting her a hugeass soft toy for her birthday that year (in July), and even then it already felt so awkward between us.
So today was meant to be a last meeting between RuiMing and I before I left and we went to Plaza Singapura to meet up for lunch. While I would talk to Nicole about the past, I talked to RuiMing about our experiences with boys - or the lack thereof. We basically just exchange stories people flirting, or cheesy things that just doesn't work out, and the like. It's really funny because in that sense, she is quite similar to me. I can't stand it when things get too cheesy or when they expect that the guy pays for everything. Idk, makes me feel really guilty if someone pays for everything.
We ended up going to KTV for 2 hours after that, singing all sorts of shit from Korean to Chinese then to English and then we headed back to the mrt. We were passed out some helium balloons that ended up really getting in the way. It just flies all over the place especially in the MRT (where I attempted to sleep).
Anyways, I'm gonna try and finish reading the Game of Thrones. I started reading it so long ago, and I have to say it is a very good book but I kind of lost the motivation to write or read anything so I just left it to rot even though I bring it out with me. I'm packing the whole series along with me to US (hopefully it would fit) and that would be the only books I'd be bringing with me. I have downloaded the series of Game of Thrones as well but I have a habit of reading my stuff before actually watching the movie (exception of harry potter because I was young and foolish and I just didn't like to read back then). Alrighto then, tata!
